Friendship
"Friendship adds a layer of beauty to our lives"
What I find most beautiful and endearing about friendship (the true kind) is that you reveal things to
your friends that you often don't share with your own family members. You have put a certain level of
trust into someone that you're not genetically related to and may not have known from your childhood.
When that trust is not betrayed by either party, that's when you realize how awesome friendship really
can be. It gives you someone to talk with, laugh with and just be yourself with. The conversations
between friends can get as real as life is. Dreams, hopes and fears are shared along with the
disappointments and mistakes.
We don't travel along the road of life by ourselves so it's great when you can reach out to a passing
stranger and ignite a friendship that makes the journey less wearisome. In all honesty, we know when
we have not been a good friend. At that point it's your choice whether or not you make amends or you
lose a friend. If the friendship brought a spot of sunshine into your life, why would you want to lose it?
As we get older, it seems harder to make new friends. Holding on to old friends is a treasure that you
don't want to throw away over something that can be fixed with an apology and more consideration
going forth.
Let friend⛴ forever sail on!
